Algerian Web Hackers in Embarrassing Mixup
A group of Algerian Web Pirates/Hacker was in an embarrassing mixup yesterday, mistakingly hacking the website of a Castle which hosts Teddy Bear Picnics, instead of a Crusaders fortress. The hackers targeted and compromised the web page of Belvoir Castle, which is the home of the family seat of the 11th Duke of Rutland, instead of the website they were instead supposed to attack, which was that of Belvoir Fortress in Israel.
The website was defaced, with the main page being replaced with an Algerian flag overlayed with an anti-Jewish message written in Arabic. Belvoir Fortress, the presumed correct target, was initially a Christian order of the Knights Hospitaller in 1168, which was in place to fend off Muslims in the City of Jerusalem.
The hacker/pirate group Dz-Sec (dzsec.net) claimed responsibility for the attack, writing "The cause of this hack is Israel's presence. Internet law does not protect the ignorant. Thank you to all the pirates of Algeria". In response, a spokeswoman from Belvoir Castle said "We've nothing to do with the Middle-East. I just help to organise the teddy bears' picnic".
