Fast Hacking with Autopwn
This video demonstrates Metasploits "Autopwn" feature as implemented in BackTrack. Although it's a few years old, this feature is still available in Metasploit, and as such, is still relevant. The idea of this feature is to aid in performing a penetration test as quickly as possible, and thus, allowing you more time to focus on other aspects of a penetration test. A great tool, but not to be abused. You will require BackTrack to use this tool (well, it's set up for you there already - you can set this up and get it working on different systems, it'll just require a bit of manual configuration, instructions for which can be found through DuckDuckGo.com - the Open Source Search Engine).
All content in this video is only to be used in situations where you have legal approval/permission to do so, which is either:
a) Your own home network
b) On a licensed penetration test, with signed documentation and permission
The author of this video (me), and the authors of the tool are in no way responsible for any misuse of this video, in any way whatsoever. We strongly advise you do not misuse any of these techniques, as it gives the Penetration Testing industry a bad name, plus, you'll end up in jail - and that's never a good thing. We've said out bit - now you do yours, and only use these techniques in situations where you are completely and unquestionably allowed to.
DEFENSE: Defense for this attack is fairly simple - ensure your systems are up to date with the latest patches, and they will not be affected by an attack such as is demonstrated in this video.
